On March 4th, a Notice of Intent was published in the Canada Gazette, launching the
development of a new amendment to the country’s Energy Efficiency Regulations. After
approval, Amendment 15 will be integrated into the regulations that were introduced in
1995 as a means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Canada. They specify energy
efficiency standards for residential, commercial, and industrial energy using products.
